Lloyd Koesling’s creation on the corner of Highway 36 and Margaret Street in North St. Paul is dubbed the world’s largest stucco snowman. It’s become the defacto symbol of North St. Paul and an icon in the Twin Cities.

Minneapolis artist Angela Carlson created this mosaic mural on the west side of the Peace House in Minneapolis. She covered the side of the two-story building with tiles and mirror pieces donated by the Minneapolis Glass Company and the Tile Shop with the help of her mother, Cindy Carlson, and members of the Peace House Community.

In the fall of 2007, artist David Trinque painted this mural on the Freewheel Bike Shop in Minneapolis. This mural replace a previous mural that had been tagged several times.

This mural is on the wall of the Selby Commons building, a mixed-use redevelopment project with single parent housing on the upper level.

Larry Rostad painted this mural on the Trinity Lutheran Congregation’s office building in Minneapolis in 2005. The mural incorporates a number of Christian themes, including the disciples Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (and the respective animals that traditionally symbolize each), the act of communion, children and neighbors gathering together, and ancient Coptic murals of Ethiopia.

In the summer of 2006 local artist Elise Kyllo, with the help of neighborhood volunteers, painted this mural on the side of a Shell gas station at 34th St. E. and Cedar Ave. S. in Minneapolis.

CityPages named John Grider one of their 2007 Artists of the Year and his unique stenciled work has been popping up across Minneapolis. This mural features “Billy” the goat (which makes frequent appearances in Grider’s work) and is on the side of Salon Stella in Minneapolis.
