Former St. Paul Police Station Mural
This unknown mural is presumably another Arts Work project (considering the large props they get) and seems to have had lots of sponsorship help (check out all the sponsors on the outside edge). But I still can’t find out anything about the mural. It used to be on the old St. Paul Police Station at Dale and University which was torn down in 2008 and the mural was moved across the street to the Midtown Business Center South building. It’s good to see they saved the mural and kept some art in Frogtown.
It has lots of interesting details and multicultural elements. I especially like the nod to Ecolab’s “Skygate” sculpture — it’s an interesting blurring of the sponsorship boundaries.
