This mural is on the side of the College of Visual Arts Gallery on the corner of Selby and Western in St. Paul. It was painted by Neil Johnston and Ed Charbonneau to celebrate the school’s 75th anniversary.

The artists offer some perspective on the abstract mural:

” … this mural evolved from a horizontal depiction of Man according to Vetruvious by Leonardo Di Vinci into an abstraction created by symbolic interpretations of various “centers” of the body ['head with the senses, the heart and lungs, the reproductive system, the knee and the foot'] … Lines and color draw connections between each of these centers showing various relationships within the body.”
