Harmony VII by Daniel Kainz
Pennsylvania artist Daniel Kainz created these two spiral forms cut from a single cube of marble. It’s very similar to the original “Harmony” in Pennsylvania, and it seems there are a series of Harmony’s across the country (the original and #6 are in Pennsylvania, #3 is in New Jersey and #7 is here in Minnesota). “Harmony VII” is in the Western Sculpture Park in St. Paul.
Update (August 23, 2008): This sculpture was damaged by graffiti and vandalism and is currently covered with a tarp. Public Art St. Paul plans to restore the sculpture, but as of today it’s still damaged.
