Landmark Plaza is a park and open gathering space in the heart of downtown St. Paul that opened in 2003. Previously it was the site of a bank and a parking lot. Located next to Landmark Center, Rice Park and Hamm Plaza, it adds to the open space and makes the downtown more inviting.

Landmark Plaza is perhaps best known as home to the Peanuts sculptures, including Charlie Brown & Snoopy, Linus & Sally and Lucy & Schroeder, but it’s also its own artistic treasure. The plaza features a landscaping that mixes curving walls, native plantings and stone paths. There’s also a stream of black stones that appears to be some kind of storm water management project. Finally, along the walls are a number of signs that offer a historic image, dates and a question. There are at least 12 of these signs and they stretch from the present to as far back as 1872. While easy to overlook, these signs and images are perhaps the most engaging part of the park.
