The Spinner by Alexander Calder
Alexander Calder is perhaps best known for creating these incredible and whimsical mobile sculptures. “The Spinner,” created in 1966, is a fine example of a free-standing mobile. It moves and spins (duh) in the wind creating new forms and negative space.
I can’t help but enjoy art like this that’s more fun and captivating. It’s hard to take your eyes off it.
