Young F. Scott Fitzgerald by Aaron Dysart
Artist Aaron Dysart created “Young F. Scott Fitzgerald” in 2006. The sculpture shows a young, wide-eyed F. Scott Fitzgerald sitting in front of the former St. Paul Academy building and staring off into space. Fitzgerald, a St. Paul native and author of The Great Gatsby, attended the St. Paul Academy from 1908-1911 and published some of his first short stories in the school magazine.
Oddly enough, the wide eyes remind of the somewhat creepy eyes of another St. Paul sculpture.
